MkIV style carp rod in very good all round nick. Cane is straight with no splits, delaminations or other nasties. Good tight ferrule with stopper but no knocks. Cork pretty clean and undamaged.
The transfers are unfortunately largely gone but just enough remains to identify the rod model as the Forcarp. The butt ring and the second ring have been replaced? And rewhipped as has the whip on the male ferrule. There are a few small gaps and over wraps in the whipping which may annoy the perfectionist but are not noticeable in use. The colours are a pretty good match to the original.
All other rings and whips appear original and in a tidy condition. Original bag in excellent condition. All in all a rather nice and jolly rod that Id be happy to take out and use for sensible 1960s sized carp. Sent via Parcel Force 48 in a decent tube.
