The abbreviation DL stands for Dual Length, which means two different lengths. In order to take into account the maximum lengths allowed on many carpodromes or commercials, all poles in the series are designed so that they can be fished in exactly 11.5 meters as well as in exactly 13 meters.

Although these lengths can be achieved with a mini extension, this does not negatively affect the action of the rod thanks to its innovative, light carbon mixture. Another innovation from the Browning think tank is the shortened 13 meter butt section. As the pole already measures a full 11.5 metres, a short butt section is sufficient to reach exactly 13 metres.
